RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CELL

Objectives

The objective of the Research and Development (R&D) Cell is to foster a culture of inquiry, innovation, and scholarly research among postgraduate students across various disciplines. It aims to promote academic excellence, advance knowledge in diverse fields, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to societal challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research Planning: Facilitate the development of research proposals, project plans, and research methodologies in consultation with faculty mentors and research scholars.
  • Literature Review: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify research gaps, contextualize research questions, and inform the theoretical framework of research projects
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data using appropriate research methods, techniques, and tools, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and validity in research findings.
  • Thesis/Dissertation Guidance: Provide guidance and support to students undertaking thesis or dissertation projects, including assistance with research design, data collection, analysis, and scholarly writing.
  • Publication and Dissemination: Encourage students and faculty to disseminate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and academic symposia.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers from different disciplines to address complex research challenges and explore innovative solutions
  • Intellectual Property Management: Educate researchers about intellectual property rights, facilitate patent filings, technology transfer, and commercialization of research outcomes where applicable.
  • Ethical Conduct: Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and standards in research conduct, including research integrity, respect for human subjects, confidentiality, and responsible authorship.
  • Research Funding: Assist researchers in identifying funding opportunities, preparing research grant proposals, and managing research budgets for sponsored projects
  • Research Impact: Evaluate the impact of research projects on academic knowledge, industry practice, policy formulation, and societal development through qualitative and quantitative assessment measures.
  • Capacity Building: Organize research workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance research skills, methodology, writing, presentation, and dissemination among students and faculty.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of research activities, including research proposals, progress reports, publications, patents, and research outcomes, for documentation, reporting, and accountability purposes.
